The HWWI is a member of the Verein für Socialpolitik, Hochschulforum der Wirtschaft (HWi), Doctoral Study Network, ARGE, Baltic Sea Academy, Netzwerks Europäische Bewegung Deutschland, Informationsdienst Wissenschaft, the Stockholm Network and an associate partner of the IBA Hamburg.

Cooperation with the University of Erfurt

In October 2009, the HWWI and the Faculty of State Sciences of the University of Erfurt established a cooperative agreement. The cooperation was formalised on the 15th December 2009, with a speech from the Director of the HWWI, Prof. Dr. Thomas Straubhaar, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Kai Brodersen, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Manfred Königstein, the Deputy Dean of Economics Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wegner, and many other guests.

The joint acquisition and implementation of externally funded projects, as well as the implementation of common conferences at the interface of research and scientific consulting are at the core of the cooperation.

The cooperation agreement also pursues the joint scientific objective of reviving the German tradition of Order Economics and facilitating its international expansion.
