Prof. Dr. Henning Vöpel is a senior economist at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) since 2006 and a professor at the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA) since 2010. His research interests lie in the fields of business cycle, the economic analysis of trends and markets as well as in the economics of sports and health care.

Henning Vöpel received a diploma in economics from the University of Hamburg and earned a Ph.D. in economics in 2004. His professional career started as a research assistant at the University of Hamburg. Afterwards he worked as a self-employed management consultant for two years.
