Local Analysis of the Circular Economy in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg

The circular economy concept has become an influential model in line with universal goals such as the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since the availability of resources is limited and it requires a serious amount of energy to extract raw material, it becomes more and more urgent to establish waste-free production loops. One of the EU-funded projects focusing on circularity is "REPLACE" which provides the framework for this local analysis of the circular economy ecosystem in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
