Professional Career

Sebastian Taglieber is a working student at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI). He is studying economics (B.Sc.) at the University of Hamburg, where he also served as a tutor for investment and finance.

After completing his apprenticeship as a bank clerk at Commerzbank AG, he gained several years of practical experience at the company, first in retail banking and then in wealth management, focusing on investment advice, financing, and international clients. He has been working as a working student at the HWWI since September 2025. Since May 2026, he has volunteered as a hiking guide for the German Alpine Club (Deutscher Alpenverein e.V.).
