Erik Haustein
Deputy Head
Professional Career
Erik Haustein has been Deputy Head of the “Migration & Integration” research department at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) since April 2022. He is employed as a research associate at both Helmut Schmidt University and the Hamburg Institute of International Economics.
He studied Economics at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and the California State University San Marcos. In his Master’s degree, he studied Quantitative Economics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.
