Professional Career

Prasanta Kumar Roy is a research associate at the Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg, the Leibniz University Hannover and an associate member of the research department “Environmental & Climate Economics” at the HWWI.

From 2019 to 2022, he studied philosophy and economics at the University of Bayreuth, specializing in empirical research.

In his research Prasanta Kumar Roy primarily uses the methods of modern econometrics in the field of energy and climate economics.
