Professional Career

Timur Eckmann has been a research scientist at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) since April 2022. Since 2019 he has been a doctoral student at Helmut Schmidt University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg .

Mr. Eckmann studied meteorology at the University of Hamburg as part of the Cluster of Excellence initiative. The focus in both undergraduate and graduate studies was on the field of general meteorology.

In addition to current research in the field of election analysis of major powers (USA, Russia), he is a research associate and project manager at the HWWI. At Helmut Schmidt University he holds various teaching positions (political economy, econometrics).
