Michael Berlemann, Matthias Göthel (2008),
ifo Dresden berichtet 15(4), 33-43.

Competition for locations has increased significantly over time. While the regions of a country have always competed for the location of companies, international competition for locations has recently intensified significantly as a result of globalization. It is obvious that interregional location decisions are influenced by different factors than international ones. This article is dedicated to the international dimension of this competition. In this article, the results of an empirical analysis of the determinants of international location choice are presented and discussed.
